Yay!

I just received a phone call from Cancer and Hematology centers. Here's what she said: "Dr. VanderWoude asked me to call you and tell you she reviewed your scans and everything looks good."

YAAAAAAAAAAY!  :)

Hope your day is as blessed as mine just became! :D

A Busy May

This has been the busiest month of our year so far. We've had S's softball season starting, A starting a new session of dance, Tulip Time, various Riverbank runs, and then Mother's day.

Softball is off to a great start. S is learning to wait for the ball to get to her before she swings the bat! That is a difficult skill to learn, and she has gotten some good hits when she does take the time to wait. She takes after me, big-time when it comes to softball, though. My mom was saying how they used to have to tell me to get back in my position when plays were going on! I still have a hard time staying still when playing. Well, at S's first game she was supposed to be playing left field and ended up ON Third Base during one of the plays! Haha!

A just loves dance, and I think she's even made a very mature decision to stick with that instead of starting soccer in the fall. It shows she was thinking about what she wanted to do instead of jumping in to soccer just because her older sister does it. And there will be plenty of years to get her in soccer later if she suddenly shows an interest. Her class is going very well, she is learning the technical names of the dance steps and is always more than happy to show off her skills.

C has just fininshed up her tumbling class and is now happily spending time with Mommy as much as possible. We're going to look in to getting her some preschool learning books to work on next school year, as I am going to be 'home schooling' her instead of sending her to public preschool.

Tulip Time was just plain wet and cold this year. We managed to make it to the Thursday parade, but not too much else. We didn't get downtown to watch the Dutch Dancers or anything. We didn't even go to the big parade on Saturday. It was very windy and our girls were tired from watching our 5K that morning.

Hubby and I ran a 5k that started at 7:30 in the morning that day. Next time we have one that is so early or is forecasted to be so cold, we won't be bringing them, though they did well under the circumstances. Anyway, Hubby and I both ran the race in personal bests, him finishing in 27:08, and me in 33:15. This is the best I've done since chemo/transplant/radiation last year. I'm admittedly pretty proud of it. :)
