Newness

Now what? We have this path in front of us, and as far as we can tell, you got us here. So many other doors closed that this open one seems like it must be the right one. Why else would you let the process get so far? Why would you allow the roller coaster to go up and down and finally stop at a station where we can't disembark? Why are my questions worded so weirdly? :)

How can we do it, Lord? Please, reveal to us some money-saving ideas. Show us how to save and spend at just the right places. Above all, show us whether or not we are to take this path. Take care of us, God.

Praise

Thank you, God! Thank you that we are able to buy the gifts we had planned on.

Thank you for bonuses.

Thank you for the bright horizon of a new job.

Thank you for the ability to talk to each other without yelling.

Thank you for a night out.

Thank you for being evident in our lives recently.

Thank you for your son, and for the Christmas season.

Starting off

I want to pray for my husband today, Lord. You've created him with a heart that wants to get things done, to make things just right, and to take care of his family. I ask you to open doors, reveal your purpose for him, and help him resolve the restless, burt-out feeling.

I ask for rest and peace. I ask for patience with everything in his life. Patience that would only come from you, because there's no other explanation for it. I ask that you give him rest. I know that even when one sits down to rest, sometimes it doesn't come. But I ask that you truly clear his mind and heart and cover him with a blanket of your rest.
